2000 GCC “Industry Voluntary Actions Already Important Factor”

This Global Climate Coalition (GCC) press release emphasized the importance of U.S. industry’s voluntary efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It also included the list of actions industry undertook that year. The industry-funded GCC opposed greenhouse gas regulations through direct engagement and collaboration with affiliated climate deniers from 1989 to 2002. Its membership spanned across the automotive, utility, manufacturing, petroleum, and mining industries.

The GCC’s 1999 list is available here.
