1997 GCC Climate Watch Brief Vol. 5 Issue 4

This document is the Global Climate Coalition’s (GCC) Fall 1997 Climate Watch Brief (Volume 5 Issue 4). The briefs were a part of GCC’s larger mission to oppose greenhouse gas regulations and contest the scientific validity of anthropogenic climate change through direct engagement and collaboration with affiliated climate deniers. Its membership spanned across the automotive, utility, manufacturing, petroleum, and mining industries. The bulletins generally updated readers on climate change policy and science developments.

This issue contained the following pieces:

  • Public Opinion Shows White House Out Of Step With Americans; “Is it Fair, Market-Based, and Cost-Effective?” Taxpayers Ask.
  • Economic Study Highlights White House Folly; Clinton Administration Stands At Brink Of Biggest $$ Blunder Of The Decade
  • Labor Unions Conduct Their Own Economic Analysis; Huge Job Loses Projected; American Workers Ask ‘At What Price?”

This document is part of the private collection of Nicky Sundt, a Washington-based climate change science, policy and communications expert.
