1997 GCC Climate Watch Brief Vol. 5 Issue 3

This document is the Global Climate Coalition’s (GCC) September 1997 Climate Watch Brief (Volume 5 Issue 3). The briefs were a part of GCC’s larger mission to oppose greenhouse gas regulations and contest the scientific validity of anthropogenic climate change through direct engagement and collaboration with affiliated climate deniers. Its membership spanned across the automotive, utility, manufacturing, petroleum, and mining industries. The bulletins generally updated readers on climate change policy and science developments.

This issue contained the following pieces:

  • New Economic Studies To Show Cost Of Climate Treaty: American Jobs At Risk
  • The Time They Are A Changin’: Scary Headlines Of Past Not Justified; Rush To Judgement By World Panel On Climate Change Undercut By Second Look At Computer Models
  • Hobble the U.S. Economy and Damage the Environment?
  • What Do 2,000 Economists Actually Mean?

This document is part of the private collection of Nicky Sundt, a Washington-based climate change science, policy and communications expert.
